What is Gua Sha?
Gua Sha is a practice from Traditional Chinese Medicine that involves massaging (or “scraping”) the skin with a tool, thought to help with circulation, inflammation, blood flow, lymphatic drainage, fascia break up, acupressure, and oxygenating tissue, which leads to cell repair, regeneration, and healing.  Gua sha “scraping” can be performed on the back, legs, arms, feet, face, and other non-sensitive areas.  Gua Sha helps to stimulate new blood flow, eliminate stagnation, and help cell repair and healing.
Using on Face
Using our Rose Quartz Gua Sha tool on your face with our Marula Oil Serum will increase blood flow to the skin, and can help improve your skin’s appearance by decreasing inflammation, lessening fine lines and wrinkles, brightening skin, and can help firm, and smoothe skin.  Gua Sha can also help with skin issues like eczema and psoriasis, as well as TMJ disorders.
How to Use
Our Gua Sha tool is meant to be used with one of our oils, and for best results use with our Marula Oil Serum to help the stone glide on your face, while at the same time delivering the potent ingredients into the skin deeper and faster.  When used on the face, with light, long strokes going away from your face (see image on listing). Apply 1-2 pumps to face and neck daily as desired.  Can be combined with our Calendula Face Lotion for extra hydration.  Our formula is concentrated, so a little goes a long way!
What is Marula Oil?
Marula Oil is  produced from nuts harvested from trees in East Africa. Women harvest the fallen fruit, removing it to use to make juice, jams, and a marula liqueur. After the fruit is removed, the nuts are sun dried. To get to the oil-rich kernel, the nut casing must be hand-cracked and each kernel carefully inspected and separated. The shells are very hard and the kernels are small.
The kernels are processed in small batches by pressing and filtering the oil using high quality presses and filtering equipment to ensure quality and sterility.

Crambe Abyssinica
Seed Oil:
Rapidly penetrates the outer layers of the epidermis, deeply nourishing the skin providing a smooth, soft layer of protection against dehydration. Controls the over production of sebum.
Citrullus Lanatus
(Watermelon) Seed Oil:
Penetrates the skin, removes impurities, toxic matter, dirt and dead skin. Removes dark circles, good for sensitive skin, anti-aging and skin tone. Rich with Vitamin A, B, E.
Octyldodecanol (Natural Plant Oil):
Its emollient and lubricating properties give skin a soft and silky feel.
