30mm purple Charoite sphere from Yakutia, Russia.  This aesthetic sphere is carved from Charoite, a rare mineral with glorious purple color and unique patterns of swirls, feathers and needles through the stone with black Aegerine.  The Charoite deposit located in the Murun Mountains in Yakutia, Russia is the only location in the world where this material is found.  First discovered by Russian geologist in the 1950's, the name Charoite was confirmed by the Commission on New Mineral Species in 1978.  Charoite is said to be the stone of the spirit.  Auction includes hand carved tripod wood stand as pictured.  A wonderful rare Charoite sphere for display, study, and metaphysical use
