    Description

Presenting one antique Silverplated Samovar / Teapot / Water Pitcher
The following information is the result of my recent research.
The unit was manufactured in the United States by the Empire Silverplate Company between 1896 and the 1920's.
As stated on its marking on the bottom of the pitcher, it was originally "Quadruple Plated."
The estate from which I acquired it informed me that it was replated in the 1940's and has had no other work done to it since.
I have seen this particular design described as Victorian Floral.
Although presented as a samovar, it is more than likely that this served more as a water pitcher than as a teapot.  If it was not used to heat water then it technically would not be a samovar.
I originally assumed that the spot where the "drip tray" sits would serve as a spot for a form of burner such as Sterno perhaps.  I cannot confirm that this was its design intention.
I apologize that I experienced a little confusion as to its exact designation and usage.  From the photos and description, you will probably know more about this than I do.  Please feel free to communicate with me regarding this issue.
    Dimensions:
21 inches tall to top of handle
Base is 9 inches in diameter but extends out to 11½ inches where the cup holder is located.
The pitcher stands a tad over 12 inches tall to the top of the lid ornament.  It is a tad over 6 inches in diameter at the base.
The cup is 5 inches tall and a little over 3 inches in diameter at the rim.
The "drip tray" is approximately 6¾ inches in diameter.  It is an imperfect circle.
Total weight is approximately 6 pounds 5 ounces.
The pitcher alone weighs 2 pounds 15 ounces.
    Function:
The pitcher has a hinged lid and has two protruding pegs on the sides which sit inside brackets on the inside of the base.
This allows the unit its tipping action.
With the cup sitting on the cup holder, the spout will pour exactly into it
    Condition:
Although not absolutely perfect, the unit shines and is exquisite both in reflective quality as well as design.
There are several small "dings" or impact dents in the unit.  They are most likely the result of decades of displaying and/or storage.
When running your finger around the rim of the pitcher you can feel that it is not perfect...but it is certainly not major.  I do understand that this is subjective.
The images above will show the majority of concerns.  There is one dent that did not show up in the photos as well as desired.  In the first picture, half way down on the right, below the spout and horizontal line is what looks like a pock mark where it may have been struck by something with a point.
None of the imperfections interfere with the units function or beauty.
Also, as with everything I sell, I guarantee customer satisfaction.
