C1872 VICTORIAN FIGURAL BEARDED MAN AESTHETIC MASK PATTERN TEAPOT COFFEE POT

$ 47.51

Availability: 75 in stock
  • Condition: teapot or coffee pot in one of the mask patterns. The base of the tea pot carries the Meriden makers marks along with the patent date of October 22nd, 1872. The mask patterns were manufactured for only a short period of time and by the late 1880's they were no longer manufactured. The teapot is lovely and features both the acid etched finish which was used to replicate years of polishing and the traditional shiny silver plate finish. Together they create a stunning contrast. The base of the tea pot is supported by 4 figural bearded men as the feet. The top of the handle is in the form of a Victorian woman and both side of the tea pot are etched. One side is monogrammed as shown. The inside is clean and usable and overall this is one of the nicest teapots we have seen lately. The silver plate is exceptional. It stands about 10.5 inches tall and measures about 9.25 inches wide. Note: our pictures are our description.
