Easy - Model R Washer-Spindrier
A classic piece of Americana. Manufactured in Syracuse NY by the Syracuse Washing Machine Corporation, we believe that this model dates from between 1926 and 1932 since research indicates that the wringerless models were first introduced in 1926, and the company reorganized under a different name in 1932.
This portable copper clad unit features 3 inverted cup agitators in the wash basin and separate spin dry chamber with removable basket. An actuating lever allows you to select which side is driven and which is idle. Both basins appear to be stainless lined. This appears to have been a top-of-the line washer, and would make a great display piece or exhibit of American technology and manufacturing know-how.
This washer was stored in a barn for an indeterminate amount of time, and appears to be complete. The machine runs under power, and both the agitator and the spin basket drive function, but it could probably use a good electrical and mechanical tune up and lubrication for more reliable operation.
