    Description

This is an exciter coil for the sv2ae echo kioritz engine for the mantis tiller cultivator. The ignition system consists of this exciter coil and a cdi module mounted to the clutch cover under the engine. To test your exciter coil disconnect the wire coming out of the side of the engine from under the flywheel and using an ohm meter test the wire to ground anywhere on the metal engine and you should read about 620 ohms. Its a simple winding so its very simple. If yours reads fine then your cdi module is likely bad, check out my other listings for that part. Be sure to test the kill switch or take it out of the circuit to be sure its not the problem. Feel free to message me with any questions. I accept paypal and shipping is to the lower 48 states, anywhere else additional cost may apply.  ********** Here is some more info on the echo SV-2AE engine that is the best engine Mantis ever had on their tiller.*****  It is an older model from the 1980's this engine is much easier on your hands and arms to start, no jerking and hurting yourself trying to start it, and this is due to the higher torque starter pulley, also its an all metal engine with only afew plastic parts, these engines also have the oily foam rubber type air filter which protect your engine from hazardous dirt and dust that gets kicked up while tilling your favorite garden spots ,they built these engines to last so they are definitely worth repairing.   *****
Note, this model engine has two piston rings as well as a heavy duty rod bearing compared to what is on the current mantis tiller on the echo which has a standard rod bearing and one single piston ring.
