There is absolutely nothing wrong with these items. There are no scratches no plating missing, this looks new. These pieces are solidly constructed. The handles make it easy to pour hot liquid since they don't attract heat. I have a tea set and have to use a hot pad when I use the teapot. I can see why this manufacturer is highly sought after. This set is well made and beautiful enough to hand down to the next generation Each pot holds 4 cups of liquid. There are no monograms on this set.
