LIQUIDATING MY 30 YEAR COLLECTION OF ANTIQUE KENT MOORE TOOLS!
This is Kent Moore J-23050 (cross references to Outboard Marine #315017), Gearcase Shim Gauge for 80 & 90 HP Evinrude & Johnson outboard engines. The tool is in good overall condition with some minor cosmetic corrosion but undamaged.   The OEM says that ... "Accurate shimming of the upper gearcase ball gear & shaft assembly is required to properly locate the horizontal gear in relation to the upper pinion gear. When combined with a properly shimmed bearing housing assembly, correct tooth engagement is assured."
