    RHOMBOHEDRAL CALCITE.
    IT IS FROM THE
    700 LEVEL, BLACK METALS MINE, BRISTOL-JACKRABBIT DISTRICT, LINCOLN CO., NEVADA
    THE SPECIMEN IS
    APPROXIMATELY 11 X 8 X 4 cm
    .  AND IT
    WEIGHS 526.8 gm.
    THE CALCITE IS PARTIALLY IMPREGNATED AND ZONED WITH MANGANESE OXIDES.  THE WHITE CALCITE
    FLUORESCES A RED-PINK COLOR UNDER SHORT-WAVE ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
    .  THE MANGANESE IMPREGNATED CALCITE OFTEN CONTAIN AN UNKNOWN SILVER MINERAL.  THIS WAS A VERY RICH MINE THAT OPERATED IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE 20TH CENTURY AND PRODUCED LEAD, SILVER AND MANGANESE.  IT WAS COLLECTED IN 1997.  SEE PICTURES.  I WILL COMBINE SHIPPING WHEN POSSIBLE.  THANKS FOR LOOKING.
