STATEMENT EARRINGS ANTIQUE BRASS FILIGREE CLIP ON W VASELINE OPALESCENT GLASS

Statement making antique filigree earrings:
~ Feature a large round faceted vaseline or opal / opalescent art glass piece, most likely Czech in nature with secure crown prongs - open back set to really let the light show it off
~ Square set on end or diamond shaped general outline with rounded edges and varying side profile
~ All solid brass metal construction - all metal is non-magnetic
~ Fancy raised tapering gallery with elaborate side decorations
~ Four prong set dark emerald green accent
rhinestones in the corners of each earring
~ I am guessing this to be early 1900's in age - Edwardian in era with fancy Regency or E
mpire
revival look

doesn't react to uv or black light
~ Clip on backs should allow most anyone to wear these - pierced ears or not

MARKINGS
= None that I could find
MEASUREMENTS
=  1 3/8" square.  The main stones are aprox 3/4" in diameter.  About 5/8" rise at highest profile off ear.
WEIGHT
= 31.1 grams together on my scale
CONDITION
= Good above average vintage condition.  Clip backs in good working and holding order.  There are numerous intentional internal flaws in the glass - due to the streaky vaseline look that include swirls, lines,
and bubbles.  It is very hard to discern if there are any that are actually backside flaws.  I don't believe that there are - and I have inspected with 10x magnification.  The glass is smooth and blemish free from the front side.  Three of the small dark green accent stones have chips that are only visible to me with magnification.  They all face up and present nicely - you have to look close, most likely with magnification also to spot.  Easy fix - should you feel the need.  See last pic for the most severe
example.
View & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina, and/or wear.  Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged.  I will do my best to note anything glaring or distracting.  Please utilize the scroll arrows beside the photos to allow yourself the opportunity to view them all.  Pictures normally speak louder than words and individuals also interpret characteristics differently.
