  • Condition: Victorian samovar or hot water pot which was manufactured by the Wilcox Silver Company in quadruple Plate. The design of the samovar is in one of the mask patterns which were popular during the 1870's and 80's. This pattern features the Bugle Boy as the finial, the Bearded Man or Viking on each of the handles, Maiden heads around the rim and a figural face on top of each of the legs. The finish is in the traditional shiny silver plate finish and the Butler Finish used to replicate years of polishing. The two finishes together create an exceptional contrast. There is a cartouche on Ivy or vines on either side of the samovar. There are no monograms or visible repairs and the silver plate is in good condition but will need additional polishing or cleaning before being used. It stands about 18.5 inches tall by 11 inches wide measuring across the rim. Note: the burner is not original to the samovar but fits into the holder.:
