Description
I'm pleased to offer this beautiful specimen of Brucite from the Killa Saifullah district, Balochistan Region, Pakistan. The specimen measures 1.78 x 1.19 x .74 inches or 4.52 x 3.01 x 1.89cm and is in excellent condition. The color is outstanding! These started to come out of Pakistan around 2015 or so and huge numbers of specimens made it to dealers. The vast majority (over 98%) do not show such vivid color as in this particular piece. I've looked at literally thousands of specimens in the past 5 years or so and have purchased fewer than a dozen pieces as I am extremely picky about aesthetics, color and condition on these. These photos have not been photoshopped to improve color---this is just as the piece appeared under bright Arizona sunshine. It is the color that makes these so desirable. I'm a huge fan of the Wood's Chrome mine, Pennsylvania pieces but these recent pieces are in a whole different realm when it comes to color and aesthetics. The large pearly plates from PA are fabulous but these pieces attract the attention of even non-collectors.
This piece shows fantastic color and an appealing shape and has a bit of attached matrix on the backside. As mentioned, the vast majority are much paler or the color is not nearly so uniform and so saturated---this is a choice piece. I just checked with two of the major online and show dealers (the big boys) and found lesser specimens priced into the four figures! This was the ONLY piece that I recently selected from a large lot of pieces offered at wholesale prices. I've been offering almost exclusively specimens that I've obtained as part of a much larger collection purchase but this piece I had to buy individually--my pickiness can pay off for the savvy buyer.

All specimens are carefully wrapped, come with complete and accurate labels and are quickly shipped. As always, your complete satisfaction is unconditionally guaranteed
and I even offer FREE return shipping on any item that fails to satisfy for any reason---you can't go wrong. I'm reminded of the firm pledge printed on the old Foote Mineral Company mineral catalogs from more than a century ago,
"Quality of specimens is assured as we permit return of specimens at our expense."
Thanks for looking!
